The Parish Council discussed the planting of bulbs on the central reservation of Harrogate Road within the Parish boundary and in 2014 Parks & Countryside told us they had 3000 crocus bulbs which they could supply free of charge and it was agreed these would be planted on the central reservation opposite the Shell garage.
It was also decided to plant further crocus bulbs along the remaining section of the central reservation and these were planted in the Autumn of 2015 from the junction of Nursery Lane to the junction of Sandmoor Avenue. These bulbs have now established themselves and gave a good display in 2017.
